Was browsing pages and came across yours. I'm a veg head as well, have been for about 6 years. I found I didn't lose weight immediately from it because I wasn't substituting with the right foods. I was filling up with pastas, breads and potatoes in place of meats. Over the last several years I've started to perfect (well at least better) my vegetarian eating. I find many of the meat substitutes out there great because the taste of meat was never the problem for me. Chicken is easily fabricated out of great soy and vegetable products so not only is it great taste, good for you, low fat, and often 2 of your veg servings for the day.
