Hello! My name is Jessica and I live in Missouri with my husband and two dogs. We do not have any kids yet. I was dianoised with PCOS in January 2010 which has made eating well and finding the right balance of sugar/carbs for my system. I am currently working with my Dr. to regulate hormones which at some points makes it hard to concentrate on losing weight with some of the nasty side effects of the medication. I would love to find someone else who has PCOS and to see what eating habits they practice.

I do not follow one plan, I combine several things I have learned over the past two years, and like I said, I have to take into account the medication I take for PCOS, and what is suggested to eat with PCOS to keep my insulin in line.

Honestly, I'm not doing the BFC anymore..
I hope it's working well for you, though!

It did teach me a lot about sugar, and opened my eyes, though!

Hi, Jessica!

Hope I can help. I"m not much for cooking myself. LOL! Honestly, I usually have a protein shake in the morning when I'm running out the door! But, instant oatmeal is fine (as long as it has no sugar, I found the store brand plain was the best) I add a little butter and some granulated xylitol to mine.

Snacks? Nuts are great, cheese, a quick natural peanut butter and crackers (whole grain, no sugar or very low)

Honestly, It's not as hard as it seems. As I said I don't really count "servings" I count grams. I count them ALL. 15/120.

Be careful with the nutrition tracker on spark. They really don't include sugar values in most food. So when you track strawberries, and most fruits and veggies, in fact, it will show up as "0" sugar, when it isn't.
Lunch? I love chicken salad, or I like to have quinoa with spinach and grilled chicken.. but there are a million things!

What IS wonderful is how much you're ALLOWED to have. No more worrying about fat. So go ahead and have your butter. I really don't feel like I'm missing much. Which is interesting because I used to eat a LOT of sugar. But once it's out of your system for the most part, it's much smoother.
IT is a re-training of the brain. And it is an eye-opener.

Hello! I'm just following a diet with 40% carbs 40% protein and 20% fat. I'm trying to incorporate more fruit and vegetables and eat smaller portions of the other carbs sticking to more whole grains. It is similar to body for life but I keep track of my portions and calories. Still hve a cheat meal, though. I don't think I am at the point where I can just eat until I I'm full. I think that is how BFL works.

I'm working out 5 days a week at least for an hour per day doing cardio and weights right now.

How about you? Did you start BFL or are you on another plan? Do you have a workout plan?

Yesterday was destruction at its finast after I ate what I did. I'm back on track and gonna kick some butt this week!!
