The doctor hasn't given me a prognosis yet - my back MRI is Tuesday (leg one came back normal - don't know which one you're talking about. lol The orthopedist referred me to a colleague of his that specializes in spinal issues, but I don't get to see her until July 20th grrr..... I'm hoping that they'll do the spinal injections because the closest place that takes my insurance for physical therapy is about 45min away, and it is clearly not going to "heal on its own" at this point because it has bothered me since August. (Sometimes I guess they heal themselves) We can't rule out surgery yet, but I'm going to obviously try other things first. emoticon

I say 2lbs is a big deal!!! Do that 50 more times and you've lost 100lbs. I'm coming to learn that it is the little things that we do that make the big difference. All of my other weight loss attempts I have been so well, extremely "motivated" that I burned out quickly. It's not that I'm not motivated this time around, it's that I'm learning how much it easier it is to take things one step at a time. As far as the shower goes, as long as you maybe work out a little extra and watch extra carefully what you eat for a few days, you'll be fine. While we hear so much about the negative "emotional eating", eating truly is a part of life, and it is meant to be enjoyed. That's not to say gorge yourself on food whenever you go to a birthday party (especially if it isn't yours lol), but food is an enjoyable part of life, and having "unhealthy food" at a party is perfectly acceptable. Just remember that every day - every meal - and even every bite - is a new one. The past does not have to dictate your future. emoticon
