Hello SP! I''ve been overweight all of my life and I never in a million years thought that I would FINALLY get a grip on my weight, eating, exercise, etc... I think it was a combination of things driving me to really tackle my weight loss this past year, but I managed to lose 86 pounds from December 2014 - August 2015 (hooray!). I did it through STRICT dieting (The Zone Diet & Paleo style eating) and lots of exercise! Mainly Crossfit and Running 3-4 miles a day. My husband and I have also struggled with infertility for the past 12 years (we married in 2003). I was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor in 2000 and good news is, no more tumor as of September 2014, but bad news is... we have still struggled to get pregnant with no luck. We''ve tried for years & years. And for anyone that has ever been through struggles of infertility, you KNOW how painful this journey is. It''s heartbreaking. We both finally surrendered to the fact that we may never have children and I was able to put all of my focus in to fitness and my weight loss goals. The sense of accomplishment I felt the day I stepped on the scale to see 170-something staring back at me instead of the 265 I''ve dreaded all those years... it was an amazing feeling! I was going stronger than ever, but God had a little surprise waiting for me :). My hubby and I are now expecting our first baby (due in April 2016) and we could not be more excited! It''s truly a miracle and not one I take for granted. We can''t wait to meet this little angel and even though I''ve had to scale back on my workouts some (and I have gained a few pounds, ughhh)... I know it''s for a good cause and I want to be the best mom, FIT & HEALTHY mom that I can be! I''ve never heard of anyone else getting pregnant after 12 years of infertility... we certainly feel blessed! Jess F. Dallas TX 33 yrs old
