My name is Jessica. I'm a 28 year old pre-school teacher. I married my wonderful husband in May 2010. I have struggled with my weight for most of my life. I have tried losing weight before, but I always gave up. When my husband and I got engaged in November 2009, I told myself I wanted to lose weight for our wedding. My name is Jessica. I'm a 28 year old pre-school teacher. I married my wonderful husband in May 2010. I have struggled with my weight for most of my life. I have tried losing weight before, but I always gave up. When my husband and I got engaged in November 2009, I told myself I wanted to lose weight for our wedding. I lost 13 pounds, but with the stress of the wedding and other things going on, I ended up gaining it back. Having to buy pants a size bigger for my rehearsal dinner was painful. I have struggled with anxiety and panic attacks for a few years now. I was having daily panic attacks, so I went to my doctor in November 2010. She said she could change my medicine, but the best treatment for anxiety would be to exercise at least 30 minutes a day. I joined a gym that day, and I am now working on counting calories and tracking what I am eating. I am determined to lose all of the weight and keep it off. I want to have kids, and I want to be a healthy mom. I also want to live a long, healthy life with my husband.

Update: I got pregnant with twins in January 2013, and my son and daughter were born August 31. I am so in love with my beautiful, healthy babies. I gained 55 pounds during my pregnancy. I lost some of the weight right away, but bad habits have caused me to gain some of it back. My new goal is to get back to my pre-baby weight, and then to get to my original goal weight!

Starting Weight (11/17/10): 274 pounds
Current Weight (11/17/12): 152.2 pounds
Goal Weight: 140 pounds

-Tracking calories on Spark.

When things go wrong
and sometimes they will
when the road you are struggling in
Is a twisted hill

When you need help
and the debts are high,
you want to smile
But you have to sigh

When care is pressing
you down a bit
rest if you must
But never quit

Life is hard
during its twists and turns
as everyone of us
Sometimes learns

And many a failure
will turn about
when we might have won
Had we stuck it out

Never give up
though the pace seems slow
you just may succeed
With another blow

You never can tell
how close you are
it may be near
