I have battled with my weight all my life. However, in recent years, I have become unrecognizable to myself. I am a mother, wife, sister & daughter - I want to be here 10 years from now! If I don't give this everything I have and change my lifestyle, I won't be. I don't want to be a supermodel in a size 1. I want to be comfortable in my own skin, healthy and HAPPY! I welcome new Spark friends from all walks of life... you can never have too much support!
The journey begins...
**To lose 10 pounds per month!**
* Drink 8 glasses water a day (getting much easier)
* Exercise at least 15 min a day (still rough for me to stay consistent)
* Portion control
(some days are better than others!)
* No mindless snacking
(I have substituted this with mindless water drinking, lol)
* No fast food. Taking time to prepare healthy meals
(I don't miss that greasy crap AT ALL, and my family sure appreciates the tasty, healthy meals I have been making!)
My program is called:
GIVING UP IS NOT A CHOICE.
There can be no turning back for me! If I fall off track, I will not spend the rest of the week beating myself up for it... I will resume my goals and hold my head high! After all, no one is perfect and guilt only makes me unhappy.
I don't track my workout minutes on here at this time. I did in the beginning, but for some strange reason, I found myself getting discouraged looking at all my hard work broken down into small minutes. So, for now, I am not tracking it. I'm sure I will start again eventually when I know I have made some significant progress and that little ticker won't make me feel so unproductive.

I live in Oregon, I am 32 years old, married and have a daughter. I love antiques and am fascinated by the victorian era. I write poetry, enjoy nail art, crafting and DIY projects.

THANK YOU for adding me to your friend's list. I have added you to my list also. Yeah, the scale can really become our enemy if we use it as our only means of measuring our weight loss. Wait a week or so (since you've been sick and not getting to exercise), and take your measurements. You may find that you've lost inches whether you've lost weight or not.
The main thing is to STICK WITH THE PROGRAM, and let your body do the rest. If you will do that, then you WILL reach your goals. BEST WISHES to you! Take care, and keep in touch.
