Jeny's diet and fitness challenge

I am tired of the extra weight I'm carrying dictate even the smallest decision I make in my life: how I stand or sit, what I wear, even who I am willing to visit with. I am very determined to do something about it. I love watching that little cat walk down my ticker. Here's my motivational list.
Master Reward list:
183.5 lbs-Implement a running program (I actually love to run but am heavy enough now I might suffer an injury.)

183.5 lbs-Implement a running program (I actually love to run but am heavy enough now I might suffer an injury.)
169 lbs.-Make over (hair, facial and manicure)
154.5 lbs.-Spa day!
140 lbs.-Purchase a bikini. (I'm not sure about this one. I'm a 34 year old mom and have not owned a bikini since I was 16. I might change it.)

Hi Jeny! I saw your post on the 30 Something w/ 25-49lbs To Lose forum. I just wanted to simply say, that you aren't alone! I've battled w/ those same emotions for a really long time. I'll be turning 36 this year, and I honestly am so fed up w/ feeling like garbage all the time. I know that I'm worth taking the time out to do something good for myself. Once you get going...you'll be so happy you did! (I'm trying to encourage not only you, but myself, lol). This week I started doing my 3rd week straight of exercising (Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred) and I'm feeling fantastic! I've also been logging in faithfully daily and keeping track of my nutrition as well! I hope I'm able to give you some type of encouragement! :-) I have to commend your bravery too for even admitting how you really feel...that takes alot of courage! emoticon

If you reach your goal, definitely go for the bikini! I too am a mom and haven't even thought of a bikini since I was 16 also but am determined I will again wear one, and proudly too!! :)

I saw your post on the Bookworms team about Snow Flower and the Secret Fan; I loved that book too! I have heard it's been made into a movie but I don't know if it's been released yet.

I plan on reading another Lisa See book soon, On Gold Mountain; it's nonfiction about the history of her family; I downloaded it to my Kindle last month when it was on sale for $1.99.

I also read and enjoyed Peony in Love, Shangai Girls, and Dreams of Joy.
