Back on track

Hi! I am sick and tired of being fat and unhealthy. I am just starting up (again) and will post some short-term and long term goals soon.

I've tried to do weight loss in the past and I have always crashed and burned- being overly ambitious at first, and then getting disappointed that it was too hard. I am focusing on small goals right now, like:

Drinking 8 glasses of water a day- surprisingly hard for me right now
Exercising for 10 minutes a day at least 5 times ...

Making sure that I eat some fresh produce daily

I joined sparkpeople over a year ago, got pregnant since then and added some pounds. I would like to lose 100 pounds in the next two years before I turn 40!

My Goals:
My short term goal is to lose 5 pounds in May 2012.

I would like to have lost at least 20 pounds by the end of 2012.

My long term goal is to get down to 130 lbs so I am in a healthy BMI range.

My Program:

I am trying to walk at least 10 minutes a day, 5 days a week. I hope to increase this soon.

Thanks for the blog post! I do like the meal plans SparkPeople suggests, but I feel like after following them I don't wanna be dependent on them. I feel like it's something I wanna Learn to do on my own so I can make it a lifetime habit and less of a weight loss treatment. But I think it's great your going to start following the plans, they helped start me out.

Good for you Jenorama! Be kind and loving and patient with yourself for the next few weeks. It won't be easy but it will be so worth it! The withdrawals won't last forever. It will get better and easier as time goes on---that I promise!
