Here is this woman who has lived more years than she could imagine that summer day when she was seven, and even twenty seemed an impossible reach, when children who were a vague fantasy, are now three maturing adults, when a husband who was a shimmering fairy tale, is now thirty five years of history. Here is a woman who is not old, and is not young, but remembers youth and visits there sometimes, who imagines age (and sees it settle slowly on her face) but shrinks from that encroachment. ...

Here is a woman who is not old, and is not young, but remembers youth and visits there sometimes, who imagines age (and sees it settle slowly on her face) but shrinks from that encroachment. Here is a woman who has more than she thought she would, but even so, , not as much. Here is a woman who has seen death take, and birth present. Here is a woman who has had longing fulfilled and, not fulfilled, who has dreams still creating, still waiting, who is alive, and well, and healthy, but wants to explore the upper limits of these gifts. Here is a woman who is grateful, knowing happiness is not possible if gratitude is unknown. Here is a woman who knows Body is beautiful, compelling, irresistable, but Spirit is eternal, transformative, the vehicle of awe. I greet you.

My Goals:
To live a long life that is full of energy, and vigor. To be always curious, always enquiring, always discovering, always learning. To cultivate a generous heart and Spirit. To allow no walls that forbid the wonderous, the supernatural, the unknown. To never be above my ideal weight, and perhaps be five or ten pounds below, since that weight is generous and I lived decades below it. To always have a beautiful garden out my door. To paint and write and overcome enertia. To conquer fears. To see my son finally happy. Amen

"Beautiful Woman Award! Once you've been given this award, you have to paste it on the wall of 8 women who deserve it. If you receive more than 3, you know you're really beautiful! If you break the chain, nothing will happen, but it's always good to know someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out"

I enjoyed your visit to my blog, Jenny. Your words were quite musical and descriptive...I love the characterization of the old woman's grace and spirit and her becoming a work of art in of herself. I am pleased to make your acquaintance and happy that you stopped by! Sincerely yours, Karen

Hi Jenny,
Just got home from dancing and am answering a few email before I crash. Mowed four acres and pulled weeds in my flower gardens. ( Are they all expanding or am I just tired of doing all that weeding?) Anyway, I was delighted about your visit to my page! Thank you for your kind words. I read your "introduction" again because it's like a poem and I loved reading it the first time! You have a gift, darling. HOPE YOU HAVE A NICE WEEKEND! Our son is coming home tomorrow night and I can't wait to see his sweet face! Nite, Mary Ann
