Road To Boston 09

I am a trainer, and I have always struggled with weight issues. I have run 3 marathons so far, numerous half marathons and many smaller races. I want to qualify for Boston in 2010. That means cutting 45 seconds off each mile pace for 26 miles. I can do this much easier if I don't have the extra 30 pounds on me. I am now a member of Team Fox running the Boston Marathon and racing to find a cure for Parkinson's Disease. My Dad has it and my running mentor Joe, so it is near and dear to my heart. I am 1 step closer to my goal of crossing the finish line of the Boston Marathon. I hope I can be a part of finding a cure for Parkinson's Disease. I am currently sticking to the Runner's World intermediate marathon training program. I have thrown in a few other training tools that people have told me will prepare me for the hills of Boston.

Not sure what happened with your post about fundraising, but we are still behind you. And is that the Goofy tri-fecta around your neck? Lucky girl! I wanted to do it for 2010, but have put it off until 2011 to make sure the economy holds out, lol.

Great job running for a cause. I know you represent for your peeps!

Just stopping in to wish you well in finishing off this week. I see that you are improving your time on your runs but still have to work hard to reach your ultimate goal. I'm sure you will do it, you have a lot of drive and dedication!
