I am on my way down to 150 pounds. 15 pounds off, 55 more to go! I have been married for 12 years and have four kids ages 5-11. I teach Spanish at a small, private college. My goals to begin with are very simple - - drink enough water, move every day, limit carbohydrates, and make better choices all around.

My hobbies are reading, writing, hiding vegetables in foods my kids' like, cooking, singing, cooking while singing, y hablo español a veces.

Stay focused and keep a positive attitude as this will be a great help to you in your daily life!!! Smile although sometimes that is the hardest, but it really helps!!! And, if nothing else, it makes people wonder what you're up to.
Watch your portion control. Be sure to drink plenty of water (8-8oz glasses daily) and walk. Water and walking will help you on this journey of lowering numbers and weight loss. Start small if that is all you can do or have time to do and add to it as you are able. Even 5-10 minutes several times a day adds up to bigger numbers and will keep you moving. Invest in a good pedometer (about $10) and see how many steps you currently take each day. Before long you will be adding steps just to see how many you can do and how far you can go. WHAT A GREAT MOTIVATOR!!! YOU can do this!!!
