I am happily married to great man, I have two kids a son 18 & a daughter 11 from a previous marriage, I began to gain weight 2 yrs ago and I HATE it! I need to lose around 30 pounds or at least be able to wear my clothes! We also just quit smoking so I dont want to gain more weight. My son who is 18 is over weight so we have buddied up to lose together. We walk every evening and excerise together.

I am excited to be on this new journey! I WILL do it!

Come on everyone...leave me some motivation!!!!.........

I was on this site about 2 1/2 yrs ago, I only lost 3lbs but I quit, so I thought I'd give it another try! So I updated my info and hit re-start!! Wish me luck!

I don't really have a set program, just set goals. I'm trying to learn to be patient and steady! I'm ready!

Personal Information:
I recently got re-married and relocated w/ my family 2500 miles across country . I quit smoking (again) and gained some unwanted weight (30lbs) in the process of everything. I am employeed full time and about to go back to college part time. I also have a trip back home in March. I don't have a lot of spare time. I honstly think I'm addicted to food and its on my mind 24/7. I want to learn to STOP thinking about it so much, and be back in shape BEFORE my trip in March!

Other Information:
Any words of advise or words of motivation would be greatly welcomed!!!

    Hi! I have to tell you the plan was not made for me, but for a friend. It's very simple and I used it many years ago to loose weight (Why, oh why didn't I stick with it then? emoticon ) and it works. Here it is:
    Breakfast: 1 protein, 2 starches, 1 milk, 1 fruit
    Lunch: 2 protein, 2 starch, 1 vegetable, 1 fruit
    Dinner: 2 protein, 2 starch, 2-3 vegetable, 1 fruit
    Snack: 1 protein, 1 starch, 1 vegetable, 1 fruit (around 2 pm if possible)

    You are supposed to eat it all and I find when I do, I'm not hungry. It keeps your energy level balanced, too. I've been logging my foods in on here and I seem to be near what they suggest for me. I have to make a few lower calorie choices now and then, though.
