Life is what you make of it...

I am a 34 year old mother of two wonderful boys ages 12 and 5. My husband & I have been married for 14 years.

My weight has been a struggle for me most of my life. I've lost significant amounts of weight before only to gain it all back and more. I've never tried fad diets or pills, etc. I've always lost weight by exercise & watching what I eat.

I'm hoping this time to make lifelong changes in my habits.

With hard work, support of friends & family, ...

Thank you so much for your congrats earlier in the week. I was really touched by the support from my fellow 100+ team mates. It's this kind of support that made my weight loss project successful.

PS I love the fact that you stay away from fad diets/pills. Me too. These things are hard to keep up and sometimes unhealthy. It's much better to change your lifestyle. The first time I lost 100 lbs, I was still a kid (around 20 at the time) and I did it with pure exercise. What I didn't learn was the lifestyle part of the equation. 10+ years later, I think I've got the lifestyle part down (I hope) and I'm thinking the weight will stay off this time.

Welcome to Spark People. I hope that you find as much inspiration and motivation as I have. Remember that losing weight and getting healthy takes time and effort but you are worth it. You are worth the time to take a 30 minute walk three times a week. You are worth a few minutes a day to post all your food in the nutrition tracker. Be strong, be brave. Post your tracker and get it moving to the right.
