My Healthier Living

I've been overweight most of my life. I spent my twenties learning about making better choices, and what works best for me. However, I'm still not at my goal and still overweight. I'll be 30 this year and look forward to living an even healthier lifestyle as I enter this new decade!

My Goals:
I measure in mini-goals of ten pounds at a time. Ideally, I aim to lose to 50 pounds but am more focused on an overall healthier lifestyle.

My Program:
I've learned that I am very sensitive to sugary/high carb foods. I have family members who are type 1 diabetics, while I am not a diabetic I am at a high risk. My dietary program is based on the South Beach plan. Lately, I've been working out at the Winooski YMCA and playing tennis.

Personal Information:
I'm a native Vermonter who is very, very happy now that it's spring! Contrary to popular belief, not all Vermonters ski which can make for a long, sedentary winter.

Other Information:
I've previously lost 55 pounds and have maintained that loss for five years.
