My Greatest Battle of All!
Update 04/30/13 After being diagnosed with thyroid cancer, a week ago I had a surgery. I am back on track and continuing to lose weight with all the support I am receiving from wonderful people like you. I have come a long way, and it's been only 10 months since I started. Not to mention that there was a two-month-long setback during that period. I have lost about 45lbs and I wish I could lose just as much in the months to come. But even if it goes more slowly I am proud of myself and the changes I have made in my everyday life. Facing cancer has been one of the most significant experiences I've ever had. I am in the process of re-establishing priorities and determined to keep living a good and fulfilling life. Serving others is one of these priorities. Loving more. Complaining less. In the weeks to come I will undergo further check-ups and treatments but I am truly grateful for every single day I have on this Earth with my family & friends! I started my journey with 277.7 pounds! Since I can remember, I have been on the 'chubby' side and I don't really know what it looks like to be extra-weight free and happy with what you look like. Util I moved to the US I had lost 30.8 lbs with SP and my goal is to lose about 90 pounds altogether. When we came here we simply felt helpless to resist all the wonderful varieties of food offered at every corner. I gained back 9 lbs in just two months! I'm glad my sobriety prevailed at the beginning of December . Got back on track. Started regular exercises. every day is a good day for long-lasting resolutions and setting goals! I want a major change in my life. SP is a really great site with a lot of supportive people, so I am certain I can make it!.

My Program:
*Track calories every day. Be accountable for every single bite of food (or drink) that gets into my mouth! *NEVER skip fitness minutes. * Plan, plan, plan!!! *NO carbonated drinks, juices, sweets and candies. *Bread down to minimum, a slice or two weekly and never a white one. * NO MORE fried food in this house! *Fruit and vegetables always handy.
Personal Information:
I am 38 years old, and I'm a wife of 19 years, a mother of two (middle school) boys, a Christian of 20 years, a stay-at-home mum and housewife after I gave up a very successful career in September last year... A woman who has lots of everything (including weight!) so I'm willing to share love and shed pounds... and maybe ... if I get rid of this weight soon enough dare to give birth to one more baby :)
Other Information:
I moved to the US with my family in September 2012 and joined a gym. After going astray & 'diving' into the wonderful calorie loaded American food, three months later I CAME BACK to my own senses! I love group exercise and do body pump at least two times a week. I also joined an aquatic health program for motivation. The scale moves slowly but, oh boy, I DO see that fat melting and body shaping!!!
