I joined Weight Watchers in Jan. 08. That program stopped in April (WW at work) and I was off and running. Well, I did ok during the summer, but 4 September birthdays and a Halloween, and I was off track, big time! I gained about 15 pounds back and decided I was not going to let my weight take control of my life again. So in January, I recommited myself to healthy living, recommited to Spark and began a "biggest loser" competition at work. I am now heading back to my goal very happily! I feel better, look better and want to be better.
I am a leader at VA Sparkers, hopefully to encourage all those people who, like me, never thought they could be in charge of their lives.
I recently joined Facebook, and met up with a lot of my old high school buddies. A year ago, I would have been embarassed and lacked the confidence to speak to many of them. Now, I am loving the comments about how I look the same or better than I did then. Woo Hoo!!

To reach my goal weight in 2009
I joined Weight Watchers in Jan. 2008. I am going to continue to work with their program on my own.
I am a single "soccer mom" of 4 children. Three are girls, 12, 4,4, and one boy, 7. We are located in southwest Virginia where we live a pretty modest but comfortable life. I would like to be around for all my children to have children of their own.
I am a middle school teacher, which is something I love doing. It's been fun for the kids to watch me learning to live more healthy and be proud of me!
