Let's Do This!

After YEARS of yo-yoing and 6 and a half months of logging into Spark, I have lost 40 pounds! I am down to the dreaded last 10, and I couldn't be more thrilled! I just want to get rid of my belly (easy, right!?! Especially after two kids!) and start working on getting stronger. For the first time, I feel confident that I will be able to reach my goal and maintain my new lifestyle!

Update: Well, here I am at my 1 year Sparkaversary! I have about 5 pounds left, but I've honestly just ...

For the first time, I feel confident that I will be able to reach my goal and maintain my new lifestyle!

Update: Well, here I am at my 1 year Sparkaversary! I have about 5 pounds left, but I've honestly just decided not to concentrate on the number on the scale. I'm eating at a semi-maintainence range, aboive my range for loss, but still at a deficeit, most days, and just trying to make sure I'm not gaining. I'm still noticing changes in my body, and lifting heavy has been a total blessing for me. I am gaining muscle definition, and, while I still have jiggle belly, I can tell I'm still slimming it a bit. I have lost 45 pounds total, going from 164.6 to 119 in a year.

A tip for you on those kiddo leftovers:

BENTO!

It's the art of making japanese lunchboxes. Rather than eat it, save it... and reserve it later, in a small portion attractively presented to be more enticing! I've been known to save portions as small as a fourth of a cup of pasta and a tablespoon of sauce to serve back as lunch later. :)
