Playing with Wicked Lily
I just finished up with a Biggest Loser competition at work. I lost a little over 10 pounds - was up to 12 at one point, and then my dad had some health issues which stressed me out. (Hence, some poor food decisions were made for a week or so.) While the weight loss is a nice benefit, I think that the eating changes I am making are going to be the biggest help for me to start on a healthy eating path. I will be the first to admit that I have a very large sweet tooth! (Maybe multiple... would that be sweet teeth?!?) So for me to not eat any processed foods, get in a minimum of two vegetables a day, and track everything, my body is going to be a-changing, in a good way!
On the personal side, I'm married and have 3 kitties (no kids). We've just passed our 12-year anniversary - :) ! I also play guitar and keyboard in a local band, which is a lot of fun. When I have a little free time, I also like to read and cross stitch.
I have good workout habits during the week. We have on-site fitness classes at work, which helps me eliminate excuses. On the weekends, I'm really good at finding "other" things to do. I need to set a plan and stick with it, so that I keep active. I don't have a ton of willpower when it comes to unhealthy food, so I need to compensate with exercise.
6/2:I need to do an official weigh-in.
6/11: goal -1 lb (lost 2.2 lbs)
6/18: goal -1 lb (lost 3.4 lbs) Whohoo!
6/25: goal -1 lb (I'd love to get into the 160's! - fingers crossed) 168.6 yay!
7/2: 168.4 (-.2 lb) hmmmm
8/28: 169.4 (stress & party results)
I have joined a Biggest Loser campaign at work. I'm hoping this will jumpstart my weightloss. If nothing else, I am really trying to eat better - adding at least two servings of veggies in a day, a serving of fruit, and non-processed food.
Next goal: work on getting three servings of veggies in per day.
I currently have a pretty consistant workout schedule, but feel that I need to step it up, since my weight loss is starting to stall already.
I'm from southern Wisconsin and have been married for 12 years.
We don't have any kids, just three cats. As I type this, one of my cats is wedged between my belly and my laptop keyboard. (I think she likes the warmth from the fan on the laptop.)
I like to read, play music, golf, cross stitch, play games, hang out with friends, and will try almost anything once.

It's great playing on stage with the girls, and we have made a lot of progress over the years.
