HI Jennifer !!! Hey we are a GOOD MATCH UP ! I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE those sweet gooey foods !! How are doing with this? I do my BeST to make sure I stay in my calorie range, BUT I also do NOT deprive myself of the foods I so LOVE. It's amazing to look at a package and see some servings sizes are only for a part of what I buy though you'd THINK if you buy a single package of something that'd be the ONLY serving in it. NOPPERS often not the case. Yesterday I was at the grocery store,,, and looked at a Butterfinger (not sure if you have them there, but you most likely know them) there 2 pieces in the "one bar" and YO the calories for that ONE piece,, 270 !! YO ! That's something that if I buy,,,it's GONE before I get home and I am only 2 mins away (by car,,, sometimes I walk down). I find myself back in there,,,with a mask over my face,,, buying up ALL they HAVE from the aisle AND the check out counters !! YUPPERS can't have any family/friends seeing it's ME ! LOLOL is that bad????
I do get things I enjoy though as said. Please never go without something you enjoy. A serving size of cookies is usually 2,,,, have them as long as it's in your calorie allowance . Hmmm I've been known to have oatmeal for supper since it's only 160 calories so I could have something else ! I DO NOT recommend this though and I don't do that often. Mostly if I got a sandwich from Subby (Subway) though I am careful with that also.
I see on your page you have 2 D's ages 5 and 7. ADORABLE !! I am sure you noticed how FAST they grow while we do NOT think we are also shhhhhhhh advancing in age,,, sounds so much better than "becoming elderly" before our time ! LOL !!! My GD is now 21,,,, I helped a lot with her raising. Her Mom was chronically depressed it was so hard on my GD so yeah I had her stay with me for the most part. We had toooo much FUN !!! The other grands and she'd spend weekend, time off from school,, after school as much as they wanted over. It was fun,,,no doubt ! I am strange in that I get the biggest KICK out of teens !! To me they are as they are,,, children who are older trying their little adult wings out. So when they get wise ,,,I don't get offended,,it's a part of growing up. I also though did NOT let them get of hand They need guidelines, but not to be choked.
Hon with the site,,,, you have a family ,,, not sure if you work, but all of that comes in FIRST. I am not sure what you do for exercise, or when.. Having the kids,,, do you go out with them in the yard when they play? Do you join them? If you go out and play with them,,, for over 10 mins you CAN count the time. Here's an easy way to know what we can count as exercise "If it raises your blood pressure and lasts over 10 mins it counts." Even some housework does !! On our exercise tracker they have included "Housework/heavy housework." For some even picking up things is just so much because they arent in shape yet,,, or they are very disabled,,its enough to make them sweat. They can count that. But for most unless its heavy housework,,, vacuuming, lugging around laundry,,, LOL ok many don't do this on a regular basis, I like it,, dusting the walls and ceilings. things that do raise "your" (we are all different)BP,, counts. For most of us doing the dishes ,, unless we are dancing while doing it (Hey go for it ! Get way to get in exercise AND have fun while doing something that has to be done) doesn't count. Please take a lookies down through the "Browse" under exercise. Also there are the video's on Spark TV some which are 12 to 15 mins. We do NOT have to do a whole bunch at once !! You have a family,,, there's NO time for that !! I sincerely doubt if you have an hr to go out for a walk. I though now that S is grown,,, have WAY more time on hand and CAN do what I choose,,, depends on if these old bones will hold my body upright. Of course I NEED to keep moving,,, cause once your over 50,,,, those people who carry the pine boxes keep trying to CATCH ME !! NOT YET I say !!
WOOHOOO hon you CAN Do this !! I'm not sure what you are using to keep track of your calories. I see you did on Sat use Sparks. Girl,,, you have so many different types of foods, I just do not know,,, WOOHOOO ! But, of course the calorie amount is what counts. I am NOT NOT NOT the "food police" I do not care what you eat (if you go to mine,,, OH MY GOODNESS ! You WILL cringe ! I am most likely one of the WORSE eaters on Sparks,,,and I have NO intention of changing this drastically ! I ALREADY have. I used to eat pizza A LOT, lived in 6 to 8 cans of pepsi a day,,, a family size bag of chips, a box of twinkies, which is probably why i do NOT look my age,,, those preservatives LOL ! Oh yeah and Pepperidge farm cake,, triple layer of course for supper ! Yeah I've come a long ways, but still,,,,, ) As your buddy I want to encourage you to stay in range,, and hope you will do the same for me.. For me my calorie range is 1200 to 1550. I try to stay in the 1300ish range. NEVER hon feel bad if you have the occasional day of going over.. If you LOVE pizza (etc) and that's what the family is having,, join in, only have a very limited, reasonable amount with a salad or something such as. NEVER again deprived yourself. This is a lifestyle change NOT a diet. We are building habits that will help not only to reach our goals, but to be successful in maintaining it .

Thank you for the peppers goodie! I had one yesterday when I got really hungry, and it worked. I once read that a red bell pepper contains more vitamin C than a lemon - I wouldn't have thought that!

Jennifer to the IE team as a new puppy!!! We have obedience school which of course you will need to go through. If your not potty trained don't worry. Meg is the newest EL,,, Extra Leadah,,,,they back up MaryAnn, Cheri and myself with whatever we need. They are very important and cherished, especially lol when we need moppings, scrubbing and late night walks!!!
How do you like Denmark? I went there years ago and it's GORGEOUS!!! I live in Maine and Denmark reminded me of home. I was at ease the MOMENT we docked. The deep history fascinates me!! I had such a lovely time and hope your family is also!! How is it traveling with the girls? Their ages are so much FUN!!!
