Here's my updated goals: Set January 24, 2012
1. Peddle while I watch TV for at least 30 minutes every night.
2. Water jog or swim at least 3 days per week.
3. Eat 4 planned meals a day (No grazine all day.)
4. Make sure there is at least a 3 hour window between meals.
5. Eat no white flour or sugar.
6. Treat myself with love and kindness.
7. Enjoy life.

Lose enough weight to fly on an airplane without getting charged for 2 seats so I can go on a trip to California:)

I'm a person who has dodged seriously taking control of my weight all of my life. I recently decided to make this the best year of my life and that means taking care of my weight loss and reaching a weight and lifestyle goal.
I am looking forward to my life being happy fun simple and abundant. I enjoy intellectual conversations, reading, television and an occasional movie.
I have a private practice and instead of calling myself a therapist I think of myself as an empowerment navigator. I'm always looking for good compass graphics to put on my web pages.

I got a digital camera for Christmas and I'm old enough that I get a little intimidated by new technology so I haven't quite taken a picture or put anything on the computer yet. But, my goal for next week is to do just that.

My Program:
I am following the Spark people's nutrition program and trying to do at least 65 minutes of exercise a day.

Personal Information:
I grew up in Illinois but now I live in Iowa but want to live in a warmer climate. I guess that means I have a goal of moving someday.

I was born during th 50's.

I'm single

I live in an apartment building that has a swimming pool so it's easy for me to swim daily.

I work part-time

I like to read and crochet.

I'm excited about our new President and have hope for our country getting better.

“Progress, not perfection, is what’s important.”

Chris Downey said that in the SparkCoach video I watched a few days ago and it made me stop and think about how I was “beating myself up” because I ate too much and ended up over my calorie range. As usual, I was thinking my usual “I’ve screwed up so why bother thoughts.” I’ve done well the the past 2 weeks but and was letting these thoughts guide my feelings and actions. Why do we do this to ourselves?
I need to rewire my thinking to concentrate on progress and not perfection. How about you?
