Walking the Walk

I am a former triathlete and a person who loves exercise but struggles to include workouts in my hectic schedule. I wish I could say my schedule is jam-packed with a variety of activities, but the truth is I work too many hours (up to 12 hours a day) at a very demanding job, where, ironically, I help other people to develop their mental and physical health.

I wish I could say my schedule is jam-packed with a variety of activities, but the truth is I work too many hours (up to 12 hours a day) at a very demanding job, where, ironically, I help other people to develop their mental and physical health.
So, it's time for me to start walking the walk and get back the balance I once had in my life- over the past 3 years I've increased my work hours by almost 20%, my weight by almost 15% and reduced my leisure and fitness time by more than 75%. I know that by documenting my goals and my daily efforts, I am ten times more likely to accomplish my goals than if I just keep wishing for my life to balance itself out.

Thanks for checking out my blog. You're so right I've just got to stop letting things that I don't have any control over interfere with what I want out of life. I know what I want & I just have to try harder to get it. emoticon emoticon
