I have recently relocated to central Mississippi from the Gulf Coast of Florida. I live alone. I had lost a great deal of weight and finally got within pounds of my goal. I try, I fail, and I keep on trying. I've had many huge successes. Im eating healthy again. I feel in control and am exercising. When I began this journey, I was at 280 and wore a size 24. I had gotten to 172 and was wearing a size 8 comfortably. I wore the size 8 for 2 years. I know that I can control my weight. It takes discipline and exercise.

My Goals:
I want to be healthy. I want to feel more self confident and secure. Eating right and exercising improve attitude and state of mind. I want to be thin but Im not willing to sacrifice my health to get there. My goal is to accomplish both.

My Program:
I began following the PRISM Weight loss program in July of 2006. I eat nothing containing white flour or refined sugar products. I eat nothing fried and no processed foods. It sounds restrictive but its the easiest and least restrictive "diet" I have ever tried (and I have tried many).. It is a calorie based program instead of a (3) servings of this and (2) servings ot that. I eat pretty much anything I want to.. I eat only 100% whole grain breads and flours. I used honey or xylitol for sweetners. Its a fabulous program and would recommend it to anyone who truly wants to change their life.

I totally agree with you on deep fried foods. They just can't be good. I think when oil smokes and burns some of it mutates into things that could cause cancer, so frying isn't all that bad as long as it doesn't proceed to burning.

Keep up the great work! I think your loss is almost excactly like my original goal--and you are being very successful!
