I started sparkpeople a couple of weeks ago, intending to lose 35 pounds by my birthday (next April). The success stories are what's really keeping me going. That, and the healthy thought of the day. I think this will work for me.

Thank you for reading and posting on
my "Stress vs. Reaction" blog. And of all

the 'negative' people in ones life ......... I am going to
copy this and commit these words as they are most
invaluable. thanks for sharing. .......... emoticon

Your comment on my blog really made me stop and think... at first I thought "I wasn't beating the crap out of myself", but then I really had to stop and think about what you said. I realized I was actually hurting my body with food (too much of it and junk) so there was actual a physical "beating" and then mentally I really started to feel like a failure which only made me feel worse... so you were absolutely right. I didn't treat myself like I would have treated a spark friend who was in a funk, and I will ease up on myself in the future. Thanks for the comment, but even more importantly, thanks for making me think! emoticon

Thanks for the kind comment on my blog.

I have found that if I stay open and solution oriented, the answers to my deepest needs and questions present themselves.

There are no coincidences. Take that feeling of wonderment and appreciation at the synchronicity of your experiences and leverage it into more and more "ah ha" moments!

Congratulations on your achievement! I know you're right from what you said. I guess it just gets frustrating when I had hoped to be further along. You're right though. We should look at what we've done so far. Small changes and we'll be there before we know it!! :)

Thank you for commenting on my blog. Funny, the quote you posted about "Choose Your Hard" is one that I have hung up in my office. I find that very motivating, indeed!
