Awe! another bari-sax player!!! I think I like it better than the bass clarinet and the clarinet he plays (he started on the clarinet in 3rd grade). and thanks for saying "hang in there"...it really is a journey of discovering new things about ourselves! emoticon

LOL - wish I could say the same.

Thanks for the bloglove. Alas. I admit it. Weight loss was my goal - a vanity one at that. I'm glad there are many side affects to weight loss - health, energy, strength ... but how I look has always been tremendously important to me.

Not that I stand around preening in front of a mirror. In spite of the fact that I passionately love clothing, (making them, designing them, wearing them, buying them) it's even more of an appropriateness thing. I like to look like I could get the job done and part of that is that check in the full length mirror every morning. Yup. looks right. off for the day. I never even have a hairbrush in my purse because ... hey. I already brushed my hair. I know. goofy.

But I have had the experience you talk about - actually more than once - but most recently as I developed recipes that my diabetic heart patient husband could eat the way he likes to eat (lots of good flavors and seconds). We both lost 5 lbs. without ever trying. so yes. I know there are many doors to the land of happy weight. I'm just afraid mine is through the women's wear department.
