A mom who lost the weight and is gaining it back!
I was doing great ! lost 75 pounds! and then I plateaued! I got tired ... stuck ... started feeling sorry for myself and now I am trying to find my way again. At 200 pounds I am "starting" a new journey. To stop over eating ... eat healthier, and be better to myself but mostly over eating. I refuse to go back to my other start weight and I am comfortable changing my goals to reflect my new target. A smaller more manageable, ...

I was doing great ! lost 75 pounds! and then I plateaued! I got tired ... stuck ... started feeling sorry for myself and now I am trying to find my way again. At 200 pounds I am "starting" a new journey. To stop over eating ... eat healthier, and be better to myself but mostly over eating. I refuse to go back to my other start weight and I am comfortable changing my goals to reflect my new target. A smaller more manageable, attainable 185... and then I will set a new goal, which will eventually lead me to 150. So let''s get started!
Diagnosed diabetic in May .... It''s been a roller coaster. Getting the doctor to act was difficult leading me to finding a new doctor. I also pushed and got into an Endocronologist which makes me feel better that now I am monitoring my a1c levels plus she got me a nutritionist and diabetic counselor. I''m learning how to eat and watch carbs intake. I am monitoring my levels with a great new tester that links to my phone. I am adding more potassium rich foods and taking a vitamin d3 supplement. I''ve lost 40 pounds since February. I am tracking again ... Not as consistently as before but getting better I look back at how I have taken care of myself and I am disappointed the counselor class really made me feel better though. I''m not alone... It''s not too late ..... And can manage this
I am a mother of three active kids all under 8. I started Sparkpeople in February 2008 after turning 34, and tipping the scales at 260. Here is my story....
I had belonged to a gym for 2 years and I went only a handful of times. My girlfriends had and continue to be my biggest champions. Together they made going to the gym "cool"..... and not scary! So finally after 2 years of membership and the best friends in the world there to support me ... I started going more regularly.. THEN .....WE MOVED! What was I going to do??? Well I started to gain .. and gain fast! They always say it is easier to put on the weight and harder to take it off. I at least found a house close to the gym knowing I would need to live close or I would find excuses to skip. But I still wasn''t getting any results. So for my birthday... my one girlfriend came down to the new house for the weekend. She told me of a FREE website that would educate me, support me... and make me accountable. She likened it to facebook.. bcuz at the time you couldn''t pry my fingers loose from the computer... I was always on facebook. So ,sure, I thought let me check it out! I have been online everyday since! I never miss a chance to spin the wheel... I log my food every day!! every ounce... ok some days not every ounce but pretty darn close! I eat really foods... I exercise really hard... I live the life of a thin person and one day my body will reflect those choices. It''s working great so far... 62.4 pounds!! in 7 months! my goal is 150 ... lean muscles. I plan to be there by my next birthday ... but if I reach goal early you won''t hear me complain.

June trip to NC caused minor setbacks.
Cleveland was great ... I discovered GROUP SPIN! and busted the 200 hump!
August 2008 added spin
Sept-Nov flew by! building muscle!
Feb 09 Changing Gyms and bumping up the cardio!
