Getting healthy in South Stl
Hey all, In my late 20s and trying to get back on track. A few years ago, through diet and exercize, I went from about 330lbs to 250lbs (over 2 years or so). Since then, I've crept back up to about 290lbs (Apr 2012), and am ready to finish the job getting and staying healthy. Hey all, In my late 20s and trying to get back on track. A few years ago, through diet and exercize, I went from about 330lbs to 250lbs (over 2 years or so). Since then, I've crept back up to about 290lbs (Apr 2012), and am ready to finish the job getting and staying healthy. I am initially looking to get down to 225lbs (I'm 6'3" and built like a linebacker), before determining whether to lose more weight or to maintain that weight. I've always been a big eater, so I'm trying to really focus on replacing those unhealthy snacks with fruits and veggies, and trying to cut portion sizes a little bit. For cardio, and fun, I'm taking Taekwondo twice a week... when I can drag myself out of bed at 5:30am. That's my primary form of exercise.

My Goals:
I would like to get to 225 lbs (and from there, re-evaluate if necessary) and then maintain that weight. I would like to earn my black belt in tae kwon do, and regain the flexibility I had in high school when I could do a split before stretching.
My Program:
I am taking Tae Kwon Do twice a week for weightloss, and flexibility training. I am also trying to replace fast food with healthier options, counting calories to help lose weight.
Other Information:
I'm a big nerd, and proud of it!
