After lots of starts and stops on trying to get serious about taking off these few pounds I've gained since getting married in '05, I thought I'd give SP a try. I'm optimistic about it

My Goals:
My main goal is to just start leading a healthier life; eating better and working out consistently. When we eventually decide to have children, these are things I want to instill in them, but before I can do that, they have to be part of my lifestyle first.

In January 2006, I signed up for the gym next to our apartment and have been faithful to go at least once a week --- a feat in and of itself for me. That being said, my eating has not been the best and I've gained several lbs over the past year, which is no good. I am not getting serious about taking off the weight (down to what I weighed a couple of years prior to my wedding) and staying consistent with working out.


My Program:
I am trying to stay within my calorie range of 1200-1550 calories a day, make healthier food choices and eat a more balanced diet. I am also attempting to go to the gym/dance class at least 3 times a week; 1 hour of strength training and at least 2 hours of cardio a week. Cardio includes walking on the treadmill (incline), step classes, cardio fusion classes and dance classes.

I love to dance, read, watch TV (love Heroes, Lost, Gilmore Girls, Grey's, Project Runway, and sadly, many others....) and hang out with my husband and my friends.
