Hi. I'm Jenna, 32 years old living in the beautiful Pacific NW. Last summer I got married to the absolute love of my life, on a Ruth Glacier in Alaska! I have two children (ages 6 & 9) and I work full-time.

Diet/Weight/Exercise History:
In college I wore a sizes 12-16 (unsure of weight at that time).
After college I started really dieting & working out and got down into the 140s for the first time in my adult life.
I got pregnant and subsequently married in 2004. Gained a little weight from the pregnancy and started running to work it off - ran my 1st 5K in 2005.
I didn't keep running and gradually started to gain the weight back and got pregnant again in early 2007, gaining much more weight than with my first pregnancy. I weighed 202 lbs when I came home from the hospital.
I started running again to work it off - running more 5Ks, 3 half marathons and my first full marathon in 2008.
I kept running through 2011 (I was at or close to my goal weight of 135 this whole time) until my marriage ended and I took a break from just about everything...including paying attention to my weight. I got up to nearly 170lbs.
Although I was aware of my gain and made small efforts to lose weight I was not ready to really dedicate myself until I joined Spark People in December 2012. My weight at that time was 158. My goal is 135.

UPDATE: 12/4/2013
It has been almost 1 year since I joined SparkPeople and it has been a really fun way to get my life back on track. When I joined I hadn't ran a race in over a year - this year I ran 2 half marathons and a 10K (setting personal records in both distances - sub-1 hr 10K for the 1st time, and sub-2 hr half marathon for the 1st time), got to run Hood to Coast, and I weigh 20+ lbs less than a year ago!

Not only have I nearly reached my original goal (which was to weigh 135 and get running again), I'm now on-track for 130 and have my sights set on qualifying for the Boston Marathon (something I thought was far-fetched for many years - even when running regularly) and plan on climbing Mt. Hood this summer. I can't wait to update this again next year!

Hi Jenna, I read your post this afternoon. You know that you are best to put it behind you. The past is in the past, and we are living for today. Rest assured that you are not alone as many of us exhibited poor judgement from time to time. The point is to learn from it and progress. And if we don't initially, we try again! emoticon
