Hi. I’m Jasmine from Northern VA and I am on my second weight loss merry-go-round. I have a 5 year old daughter and following her birth, I was able to take off 60lbs in about 4-5 months as a stay at home mother. After I kick started my career as a very busy executive assistant, and also started going to college full time, I lost track of my goals and gained all the weight back- and then some. I am now looking for a supportive community as I try to hit my ultimate goal weight. I just want to be healthier for my little girl and start to enjoy life a little more. Also, I sense a proposal from my boyfriend of 4 years in the near future, and I am determined to rock a new body for my wedding!!

My Goals:
I really want to hit my goal weight and embody healthier eating and activities. It gets so hard with full time work, school and parenting, so I’m hoping to finally find a balance with everything and maintain my weight loss, this time.

My Program:
Generally, I achieve weight loss success by cutting out most carbs and exercising at least 1.5 hrs., 5-6 times a week. I can do high-intensity cardio and I have good endurance on the elliptical. I would like to incorporate more running and strength training into my routine this time around.

While I am looking to lose weight to enhance my life in many ways, I am not expecting weight loss to bring me happiness. I have a good career, a beautiful, healthy daughter, and a loving, supportive boyfriend who give me all the happiness I need. I hope everyone remembers the good things they have that keep them motivated!!.

    Ok skipping out on Pizza is AMAZING and I wouldn't even be able to do that now.. lol!

    I did great yesterday! I stuck to my meal plan apart from some sunflower seeds and an extra bowl of cereal , and went swimming with a friend for 45 mins! Today we plan on working out at the gym in her building!

    I've seen the obstacles you had to face... Just stick with it and don't let ANYTHING stand in your way... Your elliptical is down? Walk outside... To hot out? Jog in place in side... Can't get to the gym? Pick up heavy objects in your house and run around with them, do reps with them... DANCE!!! Anything to get you moving. Food wise, just eat what you know is healthy. If you really have a craving for something, like a hamburger or something, If you rally want it that bad, make that meal your cheat meal for the day - OR try to find a healthier way to make it! Go for ground turkey or chicken in stead of ground beef. Have a veggie patty. Have a portabello mushroom as the burger, Have a ham sandwich on a burger bun... anything really! It's so easy to lose motivation, but if you really really work at it, it's a piece of cake to keep it too!
