It's not always the fat lady who sings

My name is Julie. I'm a jazz singer with a day job (it pays the bills) losing weight has apparently been my life's ambition. Is there still hope. Is it possible that after being on a diet or being dissatisfied with my weight since I was 11 years old that I could, at the ripe old age of 47, actually learn how to maintain a healthy lifestyle? Old dog. New Tricks. Could happen.

Thank you for the blog comment!

I agree, it's sad that people feel free to be more vocal about criticizing someone's weight when that person is thin. It's also sad that people feel the need to criticize ANYONE's weight, big or small, to their face or behind their back. I guess it's human nature or something, but I think it's just awful. Every Body is different and we all need to love and care for the one we've got, not judge the ones other peole have, says I!
