Hello fellow Spark Peeps... Sparkers... Sparklers... or whatever Spark Peoples call themselves. I'm Jayne and I'm in my fabulous forties. I'm a long time vegetarian with food allergies and gluten intolerance. Yes, long gone are the days of pizza and beer. *sigh* Most days I'm okay with that... most.

In the last couple of years I've had a few health issues that have been factors in some weight gain. Boooo! I've been working very hard battling against those health factors to shed some pounds. Can you hear the theme song to Rocky? Me too!!!

Since January 2013 I've started "eating clean" which generally means I don't eat processed foods. It has involved a lot more cooking than I'm used to so it's been quite an adjustment. Translation: I'm super lazy in the kitchen and I mostly burn stuff.

I'm trying very hard to stay positive about my lifestyle changes. I feel like I've finally found the key to what works for me! :) Yaaaaay! Now if only I could hire a personal chef. Alas I am left to chop the broccoli myself. Okay now I have the Dana Carvey "choppin broccoli" song stuck in my head! I better get out of here before I start singing Broadway show tunes about food!

My Goals:

Be healthier *mind, body & spirit. Triple threat!*

Fit into my favourite suit *sexeh wha?!*

Sleep better *Zzzzzz!*

Try to at least LIKE cooking *guuuuuuh!*

Have only one cup of coffee per day *Sorry Juan Valdez. You and I are never ever ever getting back together*

Drink 8 glasses of water per day *glug glug ahhh*


My Program:
I have very little processed foods in my diet.

All meals are balanced with protein, produce, plant based fats, grains and a variety of spices and flavour!

I am gluten free and vegetarian

Limited to one cup of coffee per day and am enjoying a variety of caffeine free teas

Drinking 8 glasses of water per day

I eat more regularly

Exercising 5 to 6 days per week

Trying to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day.
