I'm 35 years old and 100% committed to finally getting down to a healthy weight after about 15 years of being obese.

I started this journey in May 2009 after going shopping for a little black dress and realizing that after remaining 210-220 lbs ever since college, I'd managed to gain an extra 35 without even really noticing the changes. I realized that the only person responsible for my weight was myself, and if 35 pounds could sneak on while I wasn't paying attention, why not ...

I realized that the only person responsible for my weight was myself, and if 35 pounds could sneak on while I wasn't paying attention, why not another 35? And another?

Since then I've lost 56 pounds, gained about 20 back, and then started again. I'm registered to participate in the 2011 Chicago Marathon and am working with a personal trainer to help me take this fitness thing to the next level!

My Goals:
My goal is to reach 125 pounds, which would put me in the healthy BMI range for my height. I'm also training for the 2011 Chicago Marathon which takes place in early October.

My Program:
I religiously track my food. I don't exclude anything from my diet per se, but I only buy natural (preferably organic) foods at the grocery store. I go to the gym at least 5 days a week, doing cardio every visit and at least 90 minutes of strength training three times a week under the guidance of a personal trainer.

I love your pic with THE MAN (Trent) but what I love more is seeing that you're losing the weight!! Keep up the work. I know how difficult it can be. It took me realizing my self worth and value for me to get off my butt, start running (ran my first 5K in Oct '10, eat better and lose 65lbs (so far).

I'm proud of you! Keep going and don't ever quit valuing you!!
