Time for a new intro! I'm just going to give you a little bit about me and who I am and what makes me tick!

I am a single mom, in her 40's and struggling with the weight like everyone else here. I am a Christian, an entrepreneur, a Sweet Adeline, a friend, a sister, a daughter, and a lover of coffee, crochet, and cats.

I work from home with my business as a Younique Presenter and (an extremely part time) Beachbody Coach (I don't focus building this business as much as I support my current clients).

I sing with the Queen City Sound Chorus of Springfield, MO (Region 25) as a tenor. We're the delicious icing on the cake!

I am self-labeled coffee snob. I won't drink just any coffee. I take my coffee with me when I travel.

I LOVE to crochet! I found out just how much I love it in December 2014 when I decided to make everyone's Christmas gifts and started with arm-knitting, which lead to crochet. I want to crochet all the time, but my love of beautifying women and empowering them takes priority! I've started an etsy shop if anyone is interested in seeing what I do. I am currently working on 3 baby blankets for friends who are due in July! Why do they all have to be due at the same time? LOL

Cats. I have 3. We are down to 3 from 5. We have lost Sasha and Jack since August of last year. We miss them. We still have Lucky, Mini, and Max. They are a delight. So much fur. So many purrs.

We have also become a foster for a local dog rescue, Rescue One. That has certainly been an experience unlike anything! LOL

I am single by choice. Many feel sorry for me or pity me, and I'm over like, "I'm building my empire, yo!" Building a legacy to leave for my son and his future. Where ever it may take him!

My son is my sunshine. He is my world. He is a miracle child. He has defeated the odds that others would not. All by the Glory, Grace and Mercy of my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ!

I look forward to meeting my goals and getting rid of the weight and never finding it again! I look forward to connecting with all of you and getting to know you and supporting you on your journey, too!

OMG... Dark Chocolate Banana Bread! It's on I see that is going to be an awesome site for me to use! Everything looks amazing there. The looks great with all the clean eating. That's something I've been wanting to look into and those pics are very inspiring!

I know SP has a lot of great resources, but I like to ask what others like. It seems to always take the guess work out of trying new foods/recipes.

You know I went out and picked up 4 flavors of the Chobani Flips to try out. And tonight I tried the Key Lime flavor. Wow! It reminded me of how much I love graham crackers and it was delicious! I have yogurt at home already, so a little sprinkle of crackers will make all the difference to make it sweet like a desert!

I'm with you on just enjoying whatever it is when you're out or at a party. I need to find alternatives for when I'm at home though. I always need something sweet too, especially after dinner. I usually try to brush my teeth after a meal. That used to work for me pretty well a few years ago when I lost about 20 pounds in 6 weeks. Then after toothpaste, chocolate doesn't sound so appealing.

Thanks again! I'm excited to start experimenting!

Hi and thanks for commenting on my profile!

I completely agree about not using artificial sweeteners. I just need something to get me through my transition period... like a quick change... until I figure out what to do. I also use honey in things if I need to. I'm also aware of the soy issue and I definitely won't touch the stuff! I just need to spend more time figuring out what I like to eat that will satisfy my sweet tooth the natural way, without messin' up my goals. If you have any ideas or things that work for you, I'd love to hear them!

    Have a great day!
