I have always been on some sort of diet. I really liked Weight Watchers until they changed to the point system. Now, since my husband had open heart surgery, South Beach is what I find works well for us. We like to go out a lot and unfortunatly alchohol is usually part of it. However we both have cut back dramatically. I love music, singing and dancing. Have a cat, TC and a dog named Blue. Between me and my husband we have 6 kids and 4 grandkids! None of them live at home anymore.Yeeha!

My Goals:
My main goal is to be as healthy as I can. I've been into nutrtition, eating for health and healing, for over 30 years. I just need to apply all that I know. Exercise is so important also. I'm one of those people that needs a dailly work out since Isit at a desk all day at work.

My Program:
I am trying to do 30 minutes minutes of good aerobic activity daily, and up 1 hour of resistance and aerobic activity 3 to 4 days per week.
My nutrition is healthy choices, more vegetables and fruit, unrefined carbs and lean protiens. I do need to log my foods eaten and that is a struggle for me

Personal Information:
I live in Valdosta Georgia , with my wonderful husband. We are now officially empty nesters,YeeeHa! Between us we have 6 children and 4 grand children. We have 1 dog and 1 cat. We love to go riding on our motorcycle. My favorite place to visit (besides family in NJ and Tx) is New Orleans.

Hi. I had to come and add you when I saw your comment on the article about HALT. I, too, thought of AA & Al-anon. But I like how she broke it down for dieting. Nice to meet you!

I was just browsing the Georgia teams and your blog title "Bakers Cyst" caught my eye. I was told i have them behind my knees and I know very little about them. I walk/run/strength train/etc. very regularly, but sometimes it just feels weird behind my knee. Kinda painful, but more just irritating. When I was told I had them (following an MRI for a slight twist/sprain to my knee), the dr. just said to not worry about them unless they start bothering me. What do you do?
