. I am 87 dealing with post polio syndrome which limits my doing any exercise, yet losing is very important , so that I put less pressure on already stressed joints.I need the information presented here and the interaction with other membersl

My Goals:
Watch intake of food better. Want to get to 150, then see how much farther I should go...
5/20/2016 I am now 140, but still have trouble transferring from my chair so may lose

My Program:
No real program, but do like to read the info from Spark people and get inspiration from their successes.

Personal Information:
I am Betty I., AKA Javagal (I love mocha javas unfortunately) I was born in MN. but left when I was 8 yrs old, to live in warmer CA. I married at 18, lived in North Hollywood, and then many cities in So. CA. Now in Sacramento. At 23, I contracted polio after having had two children. Came out of hospital after 7 wks. Could walk fairly well. Never used any help to walk. In the mid 70''s I was hit with post polio syndrome. Something I had no knowledge of until in the 80''s. Just knew I was doing a lot of falling and always tired. Had two more children after polio so have two boys and two girls. I spend my days in a power chair, and am thankful for it. Just not possible to do any exercise, can do some stretches, that''s all. Hard to lose this way, but I am going to try my hardest as the extra weight does not help the aches and pains. Love this site!! I joined 50+ members with 50-99 pounds to lose, and one other with great people but I couldn't keep up with the correspondence neces

Other Information:
Favorite book other than the Bible: "In the Presence of My Enemies" by Gracia Burnham. A true story of her and her husband's almost year in the captivity of the Albu Sayyaif terrorist group through the jungles of the Philippines.
