I hadn't updated this in about six months so thought it was about time. I have to say, I am NOT the same person that I was a year, or six months ago. Look at my pictures to see that! I went from a 42" waist, and 213 lbs, to now I wear 31" jeans, and honestly they're loose now too... and I'm at 158-lbs, at 5'8" tall. I hate the BMI index, which says I'm borderline overweight. I'm a lean, mean, fitness machine.

A year ago, I was a couch potato. Now, I run or use the elliptical an hour a day and have incorporated strength training to balance myself out. I'm truly addicted, and I will NOT let myself get back to the "Peter Griffin" stage that you see in my old photos.

I live in Colorado with my three wonderful children. I like to run and hike with them.

I totally agree with you about the BMI scale! I'd like to think that my fit, yoga body which is still classified as obese is not the same as someone at the same weight who is sedentary.... Can't wait til they come up with a better measure!!!

Correct you are Dan! I've been slowing upping my caloric intake the past six weeks, now up to 1600-1800/day, and my weight is pretty constant. I still want to lose 10lbs or so, or at least trade my little bit of belly for muscle.

Good work on your weight loss. Just remember to do the things that it takes to keep the weight off after all your hard work. You need a maintenance program. An eating plan that you can live with for a long time.
