Moving Forward

I have decided to take my sad story off of here. I want to move forward. That awful stuff happened and it is over and I am not going to look back. All I see when I do that is a lot of bad memories. So, moving forward!

I am doing better than ever! Not my weight, but the rest of me is! I quit drinking soda about .. 3 years ago I think? Then sugar sort of naturally got cut out of my diet in the process. Then I cut out white flour about 2 years ago. And a year ago, I cut out processed ...

I am doing better than ever! Not my weight, but the rest of me is! I quit drinking soda about .. 3 years ago I think? Then sugar sort of naturally got cut out of my diet in the process. Then I cut out white flour about 2 years ago. And a year ago, I cut out processed foods. Cutting that junk out has made me feel so much better! My hair is even more shiny! This year? Bye bye booze!

I just took up running in October (2012) and I am loving it! There are so many 5K's out there that I am looking forward. I have a few on the bucket list...like the Princess Run at Disney World! And MAYBE..just maybe...the Spartan run (this terrifies me right now though!). Right now, I am training for the Run For Your Lives zombie 5K and I am pumped!

Lose this weight!

My Program:
No diet for me. I started eating whole, nonprocessed foods about a year ago. I do watch my tracker and make sure I don't go over in any category but I don't usually eat enough calories because whole foods are so filling. Beer on the other hand...

Right now, I am doing Jillian Michaels Revolution. I also LOVE Pilates

Hi! :)

I stumbled across your page from the Cutting down the Booze Calories team, and as I was reading your info, the one thing that jumped out at me was this:

"I do watch my tracker and make sure I don't go over in any category but I don't usually eat enough calories because whole foods are so filling."

Just because you feel full doesn't mean that you're fueling your body properly. Our bodies need a certain minimum to function properly (if I'm not mistaken, it's at least 1200 cals per day). If you're not eating enough to fuel the body's basic functions, then it will hang on to every single calorie it can get. Which means that instead of losing weight, your body will maintain or gain. And that could explain why you aren't seeing results on the scale.

Haha!! Thanks for the encouragement but especially for the laugh I got.
Yay!! I'm not the only person that has driven somewhere only to find myself stuck in the parking lot!! I usually tell myself, well, I'm closer than I was at my house! I will keep trying to get closer and maybe next time I am in the parking lot, I can smile and think of you and get to the door of the class!! emoticon

Sounds like you're doing great. I think summer is the best time to make a change like that, because there's so much great, fresh produce available.
