Happy New Year 2014 to all!!
I wrote the following paragraph back in May of 2009. "This journey began February, 2009. May, 2009, marked the beginning of maintaining and building upon the SparkPeople foundation. I reached GOAL and went from 170 lbs. down to 141 lbs! No more yo yoing weights. No more finding solace and intrigue in comfort foods. No more sitting around watching everyone else pass by. No more wishing that I was healthier because now I am healthier, calmer, leaner, faster, and . . . "
The above paragraph is what I wrote spring of 2009. Since then, I wandered away from our Spark community and did ok until Thanksgiving of that year, and gained about half of the weight back. In Spring, 2010, lost the weight again with Spark and was grateful.
Today, I weigh the most I have ever weighed. I'm beginning to understand why I "think" I used to prefer to eat junk, be inactive, and drag around instead of feeling as good as I felt when I reached goal fitness. I hope my Spark friends are still around. Doing a lot of soul-searching. Thankful to be back again! With this, we move ahead! All is well.
Spark every day!
Be a friend.
Walk 3 times per week.
Drink more water daily.
Eat more veggies & fruit.
This month of January, I made some radical lifestyle changes, and have more changes to make.
We live in sunny, hot, arid, beautiful, lovely Texas. Winters here are fabulous and that's one of the things that keeps us here. I am in my 60's. I am wife, mom to our children and our Schnauzer Maggie and Yorkie Jake and Yorkie Wooky. I am grammy and great-grammy, GG. I am on a journey with you.

It is Monday and back to the regular routine. The holiday time off is over, yet there is so much to look forward to. Like taking weight off because the goodies are gone, having time to exercise, and re-arranging the furniture now that the Christmas tree is down. Well these are my plans for today.
Sure hope you have a magnificent Monday...today only comes once, so please enjoy it.

Just have to stop by to wish you an awesome weekend, and a fantastic Friday. I want you to know I value your friendship very much.
MaeLi has been sick with that stomach flu bug. And is still home from school. I hope I do not get it. Right now I am feeling a little funny. So I am doubling up on my zinc and probiotics.

Never let anyone make you feel bad about yourself. Even when they seem to have a point. Remember that there is some reason that person feels like they have to devalue you. And it's probaly because they feel infearior to you.
I bet one day you'll talk to someone who needs to hear this.
