Heading In The Right Direction
Like most people, I have been trying to lose weight for decades. This time I feel like it is within my reach. I have to get healthier. After everything I've been thru the last few years. I'm looking forward to a more positive, productive and happier life. I also want to find out just how I am. I feel pretty confident about myself, but most of my life has been devoted to other people. Like most people, I have been trying to lose weight for decades. This time I feel like it is within my reach. I have to get healthier. After everything I've been thru the last few years. I'm looking forward to a more positive, productive and happier life. I also want to find out just how I am. I feel pretty confident about myself, but most of my life has been devoted to other people. Over the last few years I have overcome congestive heart failure, severe anemia and cervical cancer. Twice in my life I went thru sheer terror thinking that my life might be over. But thru all that with faith and my determination I made it thru. Losing my excess weight is truly the last big obstacle to overcome. There are a lot of things I still want to experience and accomplish in my life but this has been a problem for me for over forty years. Recently I found out I have type 2 diabetes. Now I'm on a 1500 calorie program and getting more active. I do not want my condition to get any worse. There is so much more I want to do in my life. And with the help of my doctor and Sparkpeople I know I can do this. I'm still searching for the true me. But the search is half the fun.

My Goals:
My goal is pretty simple. Reach a healthy weight and live a healthy lifestyle without having to think about it.
My Program:
American Diabetes 1500 calories a day and get up and move.
Other Information:
My April goals: 1) Forget about the scales - it's just a number. As long as it's less than the last one, I'm happy. 2) Focus more on living my healthy lifestyle. 3) Work towards training to run at least a half marathon by the end of this year. 4) Track everything on SparkPeople to stay aware.
