I just woke up one morning and realized I seem to have lost myself somewhere along the way. I'm not sure how it happened, but I want to find me again, my authentic self, my purpose... I want to be true to me, and to be good to me. And so my journey begins...

My Goals:
I want to get stronger, lose weight, and feel better about myself. I want to start writing again. I want to get something, anything published.

I want to feel confident and pretty when I walk into a room.

I believe all of those things are possible if I work at it.

My Program:
Keeping it Simple:

- Up to 1,500 calories/day with minimal processed foods

- weight-lifting regularly

- walking regularly (some elliptical)

Personal Information:
I like to read mystery novels. (I would also like very much to write one.)

I love environmental science (particularly geology and geography), though I don't work in either field. I just love nature in general. I am an amateur gardener.

I'm rather left-leaning politically, but I'm open-minded.

I love IT, too, and all techie things.

I have a wonderful life partner of 12 years. Two dogs and a cat round out our little family. We have thought seriously about adoption, but haven't taken the plunge yet. We will see what next year brings!
