My Goals:
To lose 28-30 lbs.

To lower my cholesterol to less than 200.

To lower my fasting blood sugar to normal range.

To prepare and run in the Flying Pig Half Marathon on May 2.

My Program:
Run 4 days a week for at least 30 mins and run a long run on the weekends starting at 60 mins and increasing duration each week.

Do strength training 2 days a week.

Eat a balanced diet of 1600 calories or less.

I am 52 yo.
I'm a nurse working part time.
I have 3 boys, one in HS, 2 in college.


Other Information:
I have run 10 half marathons, one marathon(Chicago), and lots of 5Ks.

Like to read.

I am a big sports fan, specialy the Purdue Boilers and the Indy Colts.

I love God and I'm thankful for His salvation and His love for me!

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I was having a bad morning at work today and all the the love and support everyone is showing me on my blog has lifted my spirits! Running that half marathon was the most empowering thing I have ever done. It was worth every minute of training and everyone of the 462.5 miles I ran training for it! Stay tuned to my blog as I plan to run my next half sometime this fall

Oh my goodness! Its hard to realize that you write a blog to journal a run and a fellow Sparker gleaned some inspiration from it. That is what is so AWESOME with SparkPeople as its little things like this that can make a huge impact on someone. How cool is that? Really. What other FREE website can offer something as simple as a blog that so many can relate to.
