My name is Janis and I live in Canada. I am currently trying to live a healthier lifestyle to enjoy my kids more.
My Goal - In about 6 - 12 months: weight in at 180 and then take time to weight in at 160. Then the hard job will be to maintain 160.
Started (w230) lose 20 lbs
Oct - Dec 08(3 month Goal - w210)
My weight yo-yo like crazy. But I am determained to succeed. This has been the hardest 3 months goal for me, but I cannot relax as I journey into my 2nd stage.
Jan - April 09 (4 month Goal sb 180) lose 20 lbs
Did I meet my goal of 180 lbs NO, but I lose 12 lbs, bringing my weight to 198 lbs. WOOHOO, I almost cry, this is such a good feeling. Will continue to slowly crawl along. To maintain my sanity I will only weight in every 3 months. To everyone who gave encouragement Thank You very much.
October 09 - As the months crawl by I am in good health and feeling great about my change to healthier living. My weight is still a bit of a challenge but on a positive side goooood.... Thanks to all my team members and good buddies for continued encouragement.
Mar 2010: My diabetes is under control with pills and exercise. I am currently weighting 201 after gaining 5lbs. Will work hard to loose 10lbs and maintain. The weather is wonderful and every morning I walk 7 blocks to work.
May 2010: I am now 195 lbs and have maintained my weight for 4 weeks. to all of you out there the journey is slow and steady, don't try to go too fast as you can stumble and fall. I am still walking 7-10 blocks to work 3 days a week.
I am still on my journey, going strong. At a stalemate with my weight, and able to maintain. 190 lbs.
1. Exercise twice a day for 20 mins.
2. Learn all about what it will take for me to maintain my weight loss.
3. Support others on their journey
4. Fear of Public Speaking (Join Toastmaster and conquer this)
1. Daily cal intake of 1600 - 2000 or lower.
2.walk to and from the subway in good weather.
3. Aerobics at least 3 times per wk or more.
4. Lots of water
5. Try new things.
I live in Greater Toronto Area, and enjoy gardening, reading and walking. I have a supportive family.
I am Worth It

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Strength in numbers! How goes your day today? Have you accomplished any tiny goal you set for yourself so far? My husband surprised me with breakfast this morning, scrambled eggs with a little celery and onion, YUM!
That's 7 protein. :) In return I am going to go out and wash dishes and check on the children who are home sick this week. I'm slowly feeling better.
I had a nice chat with my friend in Walled Lake, she's getting over being sick as well. I told her about the SPARK PEOPLE website and hope she joins up and that way will have a network of great people like I've found here to keep the motivation and positive energy going!
