Striving for Health

I lost 50 lbs. with Weight Watchers. Got off Cholesterol and blood pressure meds. Then got Rheumatoid Arthritis, had 2 should repair surgeries when my bones cut through my rotator cuffs, and my weight loss came to a stand still, but for 2 years have kept that weight off. Now I'm using Spark People and getting results again. Still struggling with pain, medications, etc., but grateful and determined.

Thank you so much, my dear friend, for the emoticon wishes. It's truly been a good day in all ways. And yes, love is grand and aren't we ever lucky women?! We can be so thankful.

"Whatever you want in life, start today.
Not tomorrow - today.
Let it be a small beginning - a tiny beginning.
Your happiness depends on starting today - every day."

Fortunately, being retired, stress doesn't usually push me toward poor food choices. I can avoid stress a lot of the time. I actually seem hyper attuned to stress as I get older. I still have enough bad triggers to keep me hopping.... emoticon

Thanks for stopping by my blogs, as always :-) I have started a chair yoga (as I can't get on the ground) which I love, but sadly, it is offered only in the mornings. I don't know if I will have enough time before my surgery to properly learn the techniques. There were two different instructors who did things quite differently. Nothing like confusing a beginner :-P I think my back problem is more of a hip problem as the one instructor did a stretch targeting the hips and my back was really sore after it. Very telling.
