Continued Success

I was told about sp as I was leaving the flatbelly online program. I signed up in Sept, but didn't begin with this site until Nov. I lost what I thought was my last 12 lbs, but once I began using sp, I decided to lose another five lbs, which will put me at 140 lbs; what my doctor wanted me to weigh in the first place, since I am 5'8". I have learned alot over the past three yrs from different diets that I tried; lost 10 lbs w/ south beach, 10 lbs w/ 3-2-1 from prevention and 12 more using prevention's flatbelly diet. I took what I liked from each one and still incorporate it into my daily meal plans. One of the reasons in signing up here is that interacting on boards and tracking my meals was highly motivating for me and successful in my wt loss. Once I reach my goal, I plan on staying here for maintenance. I DO NOT want to regain! I am looking forward to sharing and interacting with others on sp.

My Goals:
I want to reach 138 lbs and working on being fit, firm and fabulous! I have consistently exercised for 3 yrs now. I love strength training. I love to dance and dancing burns lots of calories and is fun! I am learning that life is suppose to be fun!!!

My Program:
I aim to eat healthily every day and allow myself one 'cheat' meal per wk (within reason:). I exercise several times per wk. I need to get back to interacting and sharing on boards, because this was successful for me on the flatbelly online program.

Personal Information:
I am 49 yrs. old; I have four children- three are adults and one 17 yr old son still at home. I have two grandchildren.

Jamilty, HRM stands for Heart Rate Monitor. I reallly like using one because it lets me know what my heart rate is and how many calories I have burned. I haven't used sp in a while, but am glad you stopped by my page. Good luck with SP.

Thanks Jan...yes I restarted using the food tracker on Monday and today I was down 4lbs!! Now...that should make anyone HAPPY!!!LOL!

'TWAS JUST AFTER THE HOLIDAYS!!!


'Twas just after the holidays, and all through the house,

Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse.



The cookies I'd nibbled, the eggnog I'd taste,

At the holiday parties had gone to my waist.



When I got on the scales there arose such a number!

When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber).



I'd remember the marvellous meals I'd prepared,

The gravies and sauces and beef nicely reared,



The wine and the rum balls, the bread and the cheese,

And the way I'd never said, "No thank you, please.



As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt,

And prepared once again to do battle with dirt.



I said to myself, as I only can,

"You can't spend a winter disguised as a man!"



So - away with the last of the sour cream dip,

Get rid of the fruitcake, every cracker and chip.



Every last bit of food that I like must be banished,

Till all the additional ounces have vanished.



I won't have a cookie - not even a lick.

I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick.



I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie,

I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry.



I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore.

But isn't that what January is for?



Unable to giggle, no time to slack,

Happy New Year to all and let's stay on track!!!

Hey!
Yes I used the Fat Belly Diet Walk Off Belly Fat DVD from Prevention. I think it's a really good workout for people that have low fitness levels or who are just starting out. Hopefully I'll keep having success with it!
