Progress Not Perfection.

I can't even begin to tell you how happy and relieved I am to be here. I was on a healthy path and fell off. I didn't know how to get back up again. Then I heard Chris Downie (Founder of Sparkpeople.com) talk about having a 10-minute workout commitment and something "sparked"... I got that. I had become an all or nothing elitist. After running 6 half-marathons, I thought why would I do anything less, ever? So I did nothing - - for over a year. I got into a relationship, took the focus ...
I can't even begin to tell you how happy and relieved I am to be here. I was on a healthy path and fell off. I didn't know how to get back up again. Then I heard Chris Downie (Founder of Sparkpeople.com) talk about having a 10-minute workout commitment and something "sparked"... I got that. I had become an all or nothing elitist. After running 6 half-marathons, I thought why would I do anything less, ever? So I did nothing - - for over a year. I got into a relationship, took the focus off of ME and ate out whenever we were together. I needed to change. I tried to count points, fast, go vegetarian, only eat raw fruit, etc... I found Sparkpeople, read the inspirational stories, spun the wheel, earned points and bought the book - I feel like I have accomplished something and I haven't even had my first weigh-in. I started exercising 10 minutes at a time. For the first time in my life, I am taking baby steps. One step at a time, one day at a time, I want it all - not nothing - and I am willing to work hard and enjoy the process and not the outcome. Can't wait to meet you.
