My goals to be met by the time of my annual doctor visit in July 2015:
1. Lose 23 lbs.
2. Have a total cholesterol below 200.
3. Have a fasting blood sugar below 100.

I enjoyed my 14 in 2014 so much that I've made a list of 15 for 2015. I reserve the right to change any of the 15 if I so choose -- and I still need to decide on the 15th. I have so many ideas left by the time I reach the end of the list, I can't decide which one I want on the list. No one said I ...

1.Get a pedicure.
2.Try reflexology. 3/18/15
3.Visit a new Wisconsin city. I did this one last year but there are more places to go.
4.Make a wine kit. I got one for Christmas so Ive got a start on this one.
5.Grow something new in the garden. Kale, maybe.
6.Take a cooking class, online or in person.
7.Master Gardener classes.
8.Volunteer in a new way.
9.Learn enough German to read a childrens book in German.
10.Read President biographies through #35. This wont be as hard as it sounds. Several years ago I made a New Years resolution to read a biography of each President. Ive made it to #26 but have been stuck there for a while.
11.Play cards at the senior center.
12.Teach each dog a new trick.
13.Do a corn maze.
14.Take a Zumba class. I used to do Zumba at Curves before my ankle surgery in 2012 and loved it. Its time to go back. I dont go to Curves anymore but Zumba is available to nonmembers for a fee. Otherwise theres continuing ed.
15.

My Goals:
Lose 25 lbs.

My Program:
Eat a healthier diet -- with an emphasis on fruits and vegetables.

Walk/bike/Spark videos for a total of 120 fitness minutes per day.

Drink my water!!!

Learn to think before I eat.

Personal Information:
I live in Central Wisconsin. I retired from my job as a speech therapist for a local school district in June 2008. Then I worked part time until June 2012. Now I am fully retired. I have been married for 30+ years. We only have canine children.

Other Information:
I love to read, cross stitch and crochet. My favorite thing to do is to walk the dogs. My husband was diagnosed with celiac disease in January 2011 so we have had to change the way we cook and eat. For the most part, it has been a positive change. He has other health problems that limit his mobility so I care for him as needed. I also share the care for my aging father and my stepmother who has dementia.

So glad you had fun at Zumba! I prefer being anonymous in classes. The first time my gastroenterologist entered the examination room she said, "We've met before!" I didn't think I had seen her before... Only after she did a colonoscopy and endoscopy on me did I realize we go to the same Zumba class. LOL, I did not like that!!

I started writing a blog about how hard my work travel was this week but it was only complaining, complaining so I discarded it. My boss can make travel difficult, let's just leave it at that! I'm glad to have a week between when I got back and when I leave again.

TGIF!

We are soft and feminine, pretty and stylish.
We are strong in heart. We keep going on and on.
We persevere...
Women are dependable, loving, and caring.
We keep our men going, when times are rough,
We are very tough.

There are all kinds of beautiful women in the world...
All shapes and sizes, different personalities.
We make up a good part of the world,
We go through a lot.
We get the worst end..of breakups and heartache.
We get the emotional baggage, the periods, the cramps,
But that is only a small fraction of who we are.

We can be anyone we want! We're independent.
We can be doctors, lawyers, teachers,
Journalists, surgeons, accountants, or soldiers.
The world is our oyster, and we are the pearls.
Love fills our souls...we are so full of life.

We shine like diamonds in the night sky.
We may rise and fall, but through it all,
We stand up tall.
