My goals to be met by the time of my annual doctor visit in September 2017:
1. Lose 18 lbs.
2. Have a fasting blood sugar below 100.

17 in 2017
1. Try kettlebells.
2. Read 6 books related to health.
3. Try a paczki. 2/24/17 I had never tried one because of the powdered sugar but they are so iconic. I had a lemon filled paczki and it was delicious though I'm still not fond of the powdered sugar. Good thing they're only available for a few days each year.
4. Pie at Norske Nook.
5. Hot stone massage.
6. Play cards at the Senior Center.
7. Try an ABC Sudoku. 1/30/17 I see they also make a color Sudoku so I'll have to give that a try too. 1/30/17 Decided to try the color one right away so I could put off dusting. It was fun but I wasn't fond of the app so I think I'll just give that one up. Sudoku is addicting enough for me. I don't really need a bunch of different types.
8. Make garden art.
9. Make a button bracelet.
10. Acquaint myself with our brand new library. It opened in November 2016 and I haven't made the time to visit it yet. Got my visit in on 1/24/17. I need to participate in their adult programming more. So many interesting things going on there.
11. Try a mug cake.
12. Make 17 new recipes. January: I tried slow cooker recipes for pea soup and broccoli cheese soup which I currently make on the stove but didn't prefer either.
13. Participate in the library's Winter Reading Program. 2/27/17 I turned my reading list in with one day left in the program. I didn't get any bingos but I did read or listen to 6 books between January 22 and February 28. I got six tickets to put in the prize boxes and I even won a prize. I won a gift certificate to use at the mall.
14. Participate in the library's Book Club. 3/27/17
15. Complete Master Gardener Level 2 Training.

My Goals:
Lose 20 lbs.

My Program:
Eat a healthier diet -- with an emphasis on fruits and vegetables.

Walk/bike/Spark videos for a total of 120 fitness minutes per day.

Drink my water!!!

Learn to think before I eat.

Personal Information:
I live in Central Wisconsin. I retired from my job as a speech therapist for a local school district in June 2008. Then I worked part time until June 2012. Now I am fully retired. I have been married for 35 years. We only have fur kids. Mostly we've owned dogs but in November 2013 we decided to give a kitty a chance. Tony is quite an experience.

Other Information:
I love to read, cross stitch and crochet. My favorite thing to do is to walk the dogs. My husband was diagnosed with celiac disease in January 2011 so we have had to change the way we cook and eat. For the most part, it has been a positive change. He has other health problems that limit his mobility so I care for him as needed. I also share the care for my aging father and my stepmother who has dementia.

I’m Erin and have 3 kitties. I live in the Sacramento CA area. Don’t know that I have any favorite Summer activities as it gets too hot to want to leave the house much less do anything outdoors. I do love all the Summer fruits that are available at the farmers markets. My goals for this challenge are to try and increase my weekly averages for cardio and ST minutes and work on getting my blood pressure to go down since I just started medication for it, I’d like to not need it. Spring saw a slight loss in weight, so I’m hoping that Summer will see a bigger one. I’ve got some physical issues that make exercise a problem at times, but overall I’m working to increase my activity.

Looking forward to the Summer challenge with you.

Hi I'm Ronnie, a new Scarlet Dragon. I'm from southern Florida where we have two seasons-hot and not so hot. My favorite summer activity is water aerobics in the outdoor pool. I hope to get lower numbers out of the challenge; lower blood pressure, A1C and fasting blood sugar. It's nice to meet you and I can't wait to get to know you better!

I live in NC near the SC boarder in the western part of the state near the mountains. It's a rural area and quite the change from Milwaukee WI where I've lived most of my life, but absolutely love it!!

emoticon emoticon My favorite Summer activities are: Walking, playing catch, fishing, and mostly sitting on my porch with ice tea or coffee watching the scenery or reading. Although we can't go to Family Camp anymore, my favorite was to go to Family Camp for a week in WI.

emoticon My goals this challenge is to get to ONEderland and to complete 2 kettlebell swing challenges.

Hi! I'm a first-time Dragon. Very excited to be a part of the Mission: Slim-Possible summer challenge. Can't wait to get to know you!

A little about me: My name is Hilary, and I live near the beach in the greater Los Angeles. I have two kids, ages 5 and 3. I work for myself, mostly from home, and spend a lot of time with the kids (of course). My goal for this challenge is to lose 5% of my weight. I'm also working towards becoming a runner -- only something I've wanted to do for the past few years, but I've been derailed recently due to knee issues. I just got cleared to jog intervals again after an ACL reconstruction last December.

I've been on Spark for 8 years or so, but recently recommitted and have had some results so far with the Spring 5% weight loss challenge (Awesome A's team). Looking forward to the BLC as well! Nice to meet you!

My favorite summer activity is swimming when I can, I just love water emoticon I also like to just kick back and enjoy our backyard and our flowers. emoticon emoticon emoticon and as an animal lover I love visiting natural parks and things like that. emoticon emoticon emoticon
My one goal for this challenge would be to stick with my portion control. My exercise routine is still under work but I can work on my nutrition without a problem, just have to commit to it emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
Glad to be part of the dragons's team and I wish you a fantastic summer challenge
