New Goals for 2012

Ok, I have 10 more pounds I would like to lose this year. Not sure exactly how I'm going to do it. LOL But I need to at least maintain so my goal is to just start Sparking again (tracking, tracking, tracking) and see what the year brings!

My Goals:
In 2010-11, I lost 25 pounds with the help of Spark! I would like to lose 5-10 more pounds, but really I am more concentrated on maintaining and trying new things!

My Program:
I try to watch my carbs, I like to keep them *under* 200 g a day. I think the standard American diet (even the healthy ones) are much too high in grains/starches. This year, I am going to be focused on eating lots of whole foods, while still keeping tabs on carbs.

try these traveling tips

Travel tips
- I'm going to be traveling out of the country in November and I'm afraid I won't have enough to eat because I won't like the food in the country I'm going to. I don't know how to manage the trip!

To fix that:
- Water: drink 8 oz/hour on the airplane (my leader was a flight attendant in her previous job)
- Pack packages of instant oatmeal, Special K bars (these need to go in your carry on luggage as they melt in the luggage compartment)
- Grab fruit from the breakfast bar for later in the day
