Changes ~

They say how you care for yourself in your 40's will be reflected in how well you age. It's definintely time for me to make some changes.....I want to be healthy for myself and my family as I grow old. Working in healthcare, I see so many people who have not taken care of themselves and are paying the price way before their time. I refuse to be that person! I have struggled with weight off and on my entire life but there are a few things I have figured out... avoiding the issue...the ...

It's definintely time for me to make some changes.....I want to be healthy for myself and my family as I grow old. Working in healthcare, I see so many people who have not taken care of themselves and are paying the price way before their time. I refuse to be that person! I have struggled with weight off and on my entire life but there are a few things I have figured out... avoiding the issue...the scale...the mirror will get you into a larger clothing size before you can blink! Wearing smock tops,elastic waists and drawstrings are the devil! Eating sugar leads to a binge every time. So for now, I will log in here and get on the scale regularly. I will wear clothes that zip and fit every week no matter how fat I think I look and I will do my best to avoid sugar entirely. As small as my goals are, it is a start. It feels really good just to be facing my reality and have a plan. This is what I want and I'm going to have to do this for myself.

My Goals:
to be fit and healthy...to find a form of exercise that i love... to be consistantly conscience of what i put in my mouth and how i am going to feel about it afterward...to appreciate what i have...to be kind to everyone...to affect the world more than it affects me.

My Program:
Login to SP and SY daily. stay away from processed foods, expecially sugar. count my calories. weigh at least every 3 days..look at my whole self in the mirror! Get some form of exercise everyday.


Personal Information:
i'm in my 40's, happily married, have grown and almost grown kids and a great job. my hobby is photography. I have wonderful friends and family, I love God and am so thankful for all that I have been blessed with.

I have a hard time sticking to a work out routine also. We just got a treadmill and I have an easier time walking than doing anything else. I used to really enjoy doing aerobics I have a lot of "Firm" work outs. Have you heard of them. They incorporate weights and aerobics. I think once I get myself on track I might start doing those work outs again.

I haven't been on for a while because I got off track and was feeling a little guilty. I'm back and ready to do this. I just hope I can stay on track now. I don't know why it seems so hard even tho it's something I really want.
