New days and New beginnings
I am a survivor of the original weight loss by-pass surgery (not the one being done now). From a medical stand-point I have traveled a road I would not wish upon anyone. But as I sit astride my Schwinn airdyne and past the time cycling down an imaginary road.... I take note of the butterflies outside my windows and think of the metamorphosis of each as they go through their life cycle. But as I sit astride my Schwinn airdyne and past the time cycling down an imaginary road.... I take note of the butterflies outside my windows and think of the metamorphosis of each as they go through their life cycle. I muse " is our life really all that different from the life of the butterfly. We each, ( and in our own way ) experience changes through our lives. Our changes are not as visibly altering as the butterfly ... but they are there all the same. I think it would be wondrous to view the world on the wings of a butterfly ... Alas that is not to be!.... but here on earth there is plenty for me to see with each new day and each new beginning as I journey in my quest for health and betterment

My Goals:

My Program:
I try to maintain a diabetic diet (I am not perfect tough). I try to get a minimum of 15 minutes daily on a Schwinn Airdyne machine, garden (as often as weather and having to wear a fistula bag permits). Otherwise, I stay active as a Alzheimer care giver, the mom of 3 mini-schnauzers, cook, book-keeper, and housekeeper. Mainly I try to keep a positive outlook and high self esteem. Medically, I reached the bottom of self esteem and I have had to claw my way to where I now am...I do not intend to ever return to where I went after becoming so ill in 2006. I take time to laugh and find joy in small things in life...for each day we have is a gift that can be taken away
