What a gifted life I lead, blessings and good fortune and opportunity - all conspiring to make me happy. I recently read this: "Any God small enough for us to understand isn't big enough to do us any good. " Neat concept, huh?

Life does gets complicated all of a sudden, but then it calms down in the ebb and flow of growth. Then it cycles all over again, rinse and repeat forever and ever.

Too late for Chauncey's surgery, but something to keep in mind:

He'd probably like some jazz, too, but not that fake Kenny G. crappe.

Oh, Jane, I just read your comment about housecleaning on Umami's page. It was inspiring, especially with those cheerful eggs! I can never quite see myself as June Cleaver, but a hardy Amish woman? I'm so there!
My [expletive] cat, Zorro, has taken to spraying and marking every surface he can reach in the house. Including my favorite sweater (hanging on the doorknob). As a last ditch effort before I send him upstate to a nice farm, I just today spent an obscene amount of money on Product (as the hair people say). So tomorrow I wipe and remove and spray and prevent.
Not so much Amish as crazy cat lady, but oh well.
Hope you have a great weekend!

True fact about the cats! (Who needs blankets?) I have three and they think it's funny to position themselves like thumbtacks on the coveres, where they keep me safely pinned to the bed. It's hard to resist their charm in the morning. (It's the crazy cat lady twist on Make Me Late for Work).

One of the great things about living in the middle of nowhere is that if I watch some cooking show and it motivates me to make the dish, usually the thought of a minimum 50 mile round trip for ingredients will put me off til I forget about it. emoticon
(I figure if I keep posting this !@#$ tulip emoji, maybe I can force spring to come. I switched to my spring handbag, too - same logic.)

DOMS is Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness - it usually means I've been an idiot and did some kind of maxed out work-out routine without building up to it gradually. Not recommended, but not a big deal either. Unless you have to move...or cough....
